This intensive programme provides aspiring Data Protection Officers (DPOs) and other privacy professionals with the necessary skills to navigate the intricacies of the Digital Personal Data Protection (DPDP) Act, 2023 and embolden their organization’s data privacy posture.
Combining theoretical knowledge with its practical application, the participants will acquire the tools and confidence needed to
excel as a DPO, ensuring compliance and safeguarding individual rights. The programme covers the objectives and provides indepth knowledge of the DPDP Act, 2023 and the manner in which it affects the roles and responsibilities of the Chief Information Security Officer (CISO), Chief Risk Officer (CRO), Legal Professionals and other IT leaders, who are an integral part of an organisation’s compliance process.
Rakesh Maheshwari
Rakesh Maheshwari is the Former Senior Director and Group Coordinator of Cyber Laws and Data Governance at the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), Government of India. Mr Maheshwari’s profound understanding of data privacy laws extends to the DPDP Act, 2023. His contributions have been pivotal in shaping this legislation, which aims to safeguard personal data of individuals and establish robust data protection practices within India.
Col Sunil Kapila (Retd)
Col Sunil Kapila (Retd) is a subject matter expert in Business Resilience, Data Privacy and Protection. Col Kapila (Retd)’s extensive knowledge extends to both the GDPR and HIPAA frameworks. He understands the intricacies of safeguarding personal data under these regulations. His expertise ensures robust compliance and security practices in handling sensitive information. Apart from extensive experience in the realm of data privacy Col Kapila has extensive knowledge of emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning (ML).
Kartikeya Raman
Kartikeya Raman brings over 15 years of extensive experience in Strategy, Digital and Technology consulting to his role as a guest faculty for the programme for Data Privacy Officers (DPOs). Throughout his career, Kartikeya has demonstrated leadership in leading large teams to deliver internal and external audits, comprehensive risk assessments and data management initiatives. His expertise spans diverse areas such as Digital & Technology risk assurance, cyber security and reimaging assessments with AI/ML-based high-tech offerings.
Immersive in person hands on training

We will also have special online training workshops with trainers and experts from across the globe.
